Sony to release Harry Potter ‘Book of Potions’ for Wonderbook — updated with pictures and trailer

Screenshot 2013-06-11 at 04.29.01 PMSony announced today that they will be releasing a new Harry Potter-related story for Wonderbook, the augmented reality game for PlayStation, called The Book of Potions.

Evidently a follow-up to last year’s successful Book of SpellsBook of Potions will “allow players to try their hand at potion-making under the guidance of Zygmunt Budge, a new character created by JK Rowling for the game.” The game was developed by Sony with Pottermore and can be played exclusively using PlayStation 3, the motion-detecting PlayStation Move and PlayStation Eye.

The Book of Potions will be available for purchase this holiday season. Last year, the Book of Spells was very successful, selling 1 million copies. It is likely that Book of Potions will enjoy the same success.

It would also be interesting to note that there is no word on whether or not the Wonderbook will be able for play on the newly-announced PlayStation 4. It likely will be, but we will have to wait and see.

UPDATE: Sony has also released a trailer for Book of Potions. The game looks very cool, and much like the Book of Spells. Check it out here. If you can, watch it in HD. The scenes from the games are absolutely stunning.

According to the trailer, players will learn how to brew powerful potions and compete for the “elusive” Golden Cauldron in an “entirely new creation by J.K. Rowling”.

  1. playstation 4 games list wiki says :

When the Grand Thief Auto V will probably be released.
The Play – Station 3 comes with a XMB (Cross Media Bar) menu
system that’s very easy to navigate and one with the choices
is to access a web browser. You will still only require a computer or possibly a console that
has an internet connection and access to a cloud gaming
service. The compromising of a huge number of subscription accounts
within the recent Sony Play – Station security issue illustrates exactly how easy it is always to attack desktops of
any kind if they’re not well defended.
